Memory Jar

This is one thing I actually kept up with last year! We started putting scraps of paper in our memory jar this time last year and then added to it up until New Years Eve.

I used this large Mason jar that belonged to my grandmother and bought a small book of card stock at Hobby Lobby. I would tear out one page at a time and cut it into a few different shapes to write on with Sharpie.

Sometimes I wrote things as they happened and other times I would sit down and write a few things that had happened over the past few weeks or so. Either way it was a neat way to keep track of fun things that happened through out the year. It was so fun to read through them together at the end of the year!

Now's the perfect time to get started making your memory jar! No memory is too small to record. You won't regret it!

  1. wow, I love this idea - I will for SURE be doing this in 2014...better get started now! lol. thanks for sharing!

  2. I have totally been considering this! That or a thankful jar. I think I like the memory jar better though! This just may be the motivation I need :)
