My favorite place

So, I'm trying out the blogger app on my iPhone for the first time. I think I really like it so this will probably encourage me to blog more often! 

I am currently laying in bed at the Jekyll Island Club. Chris and I came into today for the fourth and we will be here through Friday. I call this our real Anniversary trip! 

If you're new to my little space, this is where we were married exactly 13 months ago tomorrow. I loved our trip to Destin last month but being here really makes it seem real. It's the first time I've stayed here since the wedding. It's so surreal to walk around with Chris, who is not my boyfriend... Or my fiancé anymore... But my husband?!? What? How did that happen and where did the past year + go? 

He's beside me snoozing away and I am happy as a clam to be back here with him. I've had the biggest grin on my face since we left this morning. Rain (more than likely) or shine I'm soaking it all in and enjoying every second!

Here are a couple of snapshots from today...

The first picture is the envelope the Club uses for room keys. I've saved all of them since we came in February, 2011 for the first time. Hoarder. 

The next picture is of my swollen and sprained left ankle. I sprained it last Tuesday  walking around our neighborhood - so embarrassing. One week later it's still badly bruised and swollen. It won't ruin my time, though! I'll stay off it when I get home!

I had my favorite, Shrimp and Grits, for dinner at Latitude 31, a restaurant on the water by the club. SO yummy!
